How this site works
Who runs it
I'm an Amber Electric customer in NSW with rooftop solar and a home battery. I built this page because most Amber promo codes online have no date on them, so there's no way to tell whether they still work. This page has one code, mine, and the date I last checked it.
How I benefit
The code is my personal code from Amber's Mates Rates program. When someone joins Amber with it, Amber gives them the promo credit and gives me a bill credit too. Amber pays both. Using my code doesn't reduce your credit or add any cost: you get the same amount you'd get with any valid code.
That's the only way this site makes money. There are no ads and no paid placements, and Amber has no say in what's written here.
How the code is checked
The "checked" date at the top of the page is the last day I confirmed the code in my Amber app. When the code changes, the old one moves to the code log with the date it was replaced, so you can see how current the page is. If more than about 100 days pass without a check, the page flags itself as due for a re-check.
What this site is not
It isn't Amber Electric and has no link to Amber Electric Pty Ltd. The Amber names are that company's trademarks and appear here only to say which retailer the page covers. Nothing here is financial or energy advice. Amber's prices, offers and eligibility rules can change at any time, so confirm everything on Amber's own sign-up page before you switch, and compare plans on Energy Made Easy if you're unsure.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which parts of the page people use: whether the code was copied, which buttons were clicked, which questions were opened and how far down the page readers got. Google sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart. No names, emails or account details are collected, the answers you give in the fit check never leave your browser (only the final score is counted), and nothing is used for advertising. You can block the cookies in your browser settings or with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, and the page works the same either way.
Corrections
If the code stops working or something on the page is out of date, the code log and the checked date show when it was last confirmed. Offers are re-checked whenever the code changes.
